In 1985 the Regional Council of Emilia Romagna established a dedicated organization that would deal with all the problems associated with the natural and anthropical territorial risks in an innovative way. The Civil Protection Agency of Emilia – Romagna is divided into three main sections: Planning and Emergency Actions - Forecast, Prevention, Voluntary Work and Training and Accounting - Finance.
