The Major Accident Hazards Bureau (MAHB) belongs to the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission and is part of the Traceability risk and vulnerability assessment Unit within the Institute for the Protection and Security of the Citizen, which aims at contributing to the safety, security and trustworthiness of technological and societal systems by developing innovative methods, tools and strategies for the assessment and management of risk and uncertainty and for supporting decision-making processes.
