The SINTEF Group is the largest independent research organization in Scandinavia. The abbreviation SINTEF means The Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH). We solve our customers’ problems through research contracts in petroleum and energy, health, information and communications technology, marine activities, materials science and applied chemistry, technology management and building/construction. SINTEF has approximately 1900 employees, 1300 of which are located in SINTEF's head office in Trondheim, Norway. We have foreign offices in Houston (USA), Skopje (Republic of Macedonia), and a laboratory in Hirtshals (Denmark).
